VP of Design portfolios
A VP is hired for judgment and repeatability. The person reading is often a CEO asking one question: what will this leader do in their first two quarters, and will it work here?
Almost none of a VP's current work can be shown, so the portfolios that work move the proof elsewhere: a career told as roles and tenures rather than projects, long references from people who watched them lead, public writing on how they run teams, and scope stated in numbers.
What they share is altitude. The unit is the role or the organization, never the screen. Older, more visual work is left to carry the craft signal while the recent roles carry scope.
