Principal designer portfolios
Principal is the hardest level to build a portfolio for, because the reader wants proof of craft and proof of influence at the same time, and most sites pick one.
The ones that manage both keep the work visual and let the words around it do the leadership: a one-line, first-person outcome on every project, copy about the conditions created rather than the pixels moved, and anything built or shipped independently sitting in the same grid as the day job.
Named frameworks and working experiments help too. They show how a senior individual contributor thinks when nobody is assigning the work.
