What they show
An intro that splits her into four roles (UX Leader, Design Thinker, Product Designer, Human-Loving Optimist), each with a two-sentence definition; a client logo row (AT&T, Visa, Blue Shield, Walmart, TD, Nissan); three featured case studies where the summary line is explicitly about leading ('I led a group of designers, researchers, and data analysts…', 'I oversaw a team of designers to enhance Walmart Canada's e-commerce products…'); a 100-day generative-art challenge where she taught herself JavaScript; and a speaking section.
Why it works at this level
The trick is grammatical. Every featured project opens with a first-person verb of leadership (collaborated with product and tech leaders, led a group, oversaw a team), so the reader knows her role in the work before they see the work. Most designers moving into leadership keep describing projects as if they did the pixels; this is what it looks like when you stop. The generative-art project earns its slot too: it answers 'can she still make things' with a hundred pieces of evidence. And the personal touches (the Backstreet Boys fan site origin story, the apology for slow replies) give it a voice without undermining the seniority.
What to steal
Audit the first sentence of every case study. If it doesn't say what you led, who was on the team and who you partnered with, rewrite it until it does. Keep one project that's purely yours and purely for fun; it does more for the 'still hands-on' question than any claim in the bio.
What I'd change
One thing I'd push on. Every site here is good; this is the note I'd send the author.
The page metadata still describes her as a designer with seven years' experience, and two of the three featured leadership case studies are password-protected. For a Director portfolio, the leadership stories are the ones that most need to be open.
